It’s almost July long weekend, which means it is almost Canada Day! Canada Day is always so much fun because there is so many fun things going on in the city to celebrate Canada! With this celebration comes lots of food and desserts so I figured I would share a fun dessert that is sweet, delicious but also healthy. I knew going into this recipe I wanted the recipe to be fully red and white, for obvious reasons. These popsicles consist of non-fat Greek yogurt {plain or vanilla – your choice!}, strawberries, a sweetener {maple syrup or honey} and a bit of water. Super simple, and really easy to make!
To get the look
To get the popsicles to have the look in the photos I found the best way was to keep the two mixtures separate {first mixture: Greek yogurt & sweetener, second mixture: strawberries and water, more info in recipe below}. Begin by pouring into one mold, the Greek yogurt mixture followed by the strawberry mixture. Then with a popsicle stick you can combine the two mixtures to your liking. Some popsicles I blended more and some I did less. To change it up, I poured 3 or 4 layers into a couple popsicle molds, altering each mixture and then gently combining them. I think also just layering one on top of the other without combining them looks cool too! This would be a great idea for anyone also celebrating the fourth of July! You can easily add a blue strip in there with a blueberry/water combination!
So many variations!

I’ve talked about these popsicle molds in a previous popsicle post but they are the best! I love the classic popsicle shape they give and this product is great quality! I definitely will not need to purchase popsicle molds for a very long time!
