Today I am sharing a super delicious and creamy Broccoli Salad recipe! I was inspired to make this recipe after finding an avocado oil based mayonnaise at Vita Health on the weekend. The main differences between this avocado oil mayo vs. a regular mayo are that the base ingredient is avocado oil (instead of vegetable oil), and it contains mostly organic ingredients. Regular mayo and this mayo are both dairy-free however both contain eggs (this product is not vegan). Although this avocado oil based mayo should be eaten in moderation, it definitely contains better ingredients than regular mayo. I purchased the Chose Foods Avocado Oil Mayonnaise from Vita Health in Winnipeg.
This Broccoli Salad recipe contains broccoli, cauliflower, turkey bacon, frozen peas, red onion and lastly avocado oil mayo to give this recipe some creaminess and bring everything together.
I like to make this recipe on the weekend and snack on it for the next couple days. Sometimes I eat it on its own or will have it on the side with chicken.

Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli, cut small
- 2 cups cauliflower, cut small
- 1/4 cup turkey bacon, cooked
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup avocado oil based mayo (I used the brand Chosen Foods)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Enjoy right away or store in fridge for up to 3 days.
