Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are a delicious dessert – they are also easy to make with minimal ingredients.
Recipe is vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.
These Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are a great healthy dessert that taste very similar to Reese’s Peanut Butter cups but without all the added sugar and fat. Before we get into the recipe, let’s talk more about the ingredients found in these bite size cups.👇
Peanut Butter
Choose raw organic peanut butter as it does not contain added salt, or highly processed ingredients. I recommend storing raw peanut butter upside down after opening so that the oil and ground up peanuts are mixed and ready to use.
Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate has shown to reduce blood pressure when eaten in moderation. It also contains high amounts of antioxidants that balance out free radicals produced in the body. Dark chocolate has a bitter/rich taste so I always like to sweeten it with maple syrup when baking.
