Infused Water & Ice Cubes

May 28, 2014 By Exploring Healthy Foods 9 Comments

Ever get bored of regular, plain water? Well this is the post for you! Infused water is so simple and the perfect way to add flavour to your water. The majority of flavoured water available at the grocery store contain preservatives, artificial sweeteners and much more. So leave those at the grocery store and pick up some real fruit that can be added to your water or ever ice cubes! I am sharing with you my top three go-to combinations for infused water but feel free to experiment with your favorite fruits, vegetables, herbs, and even spices!

My Favorite Combinations

Raspberry, Mint & Cucumber

Strawberry, Lemon & Lime

Cucumber, Watermelon & Mint

Directions
Once you have your combination selected, simply add all ingredients to glass, fill it with water or sparkling water & enjoy!
Let infused water sit overnight for a more flavourful drink.

Ice Cubes

Another way to spice up your water is to add fruits, vegetables and herbs into your ice cube tray. Select the items you wish to freeze, add to the ice cube tray, fill it with water and pop it in the freezer overnight. Then simply add these ice cubes to your water. This will not give as much flavour as actually infusing the water, but it is still a great way to get some flavour and keep your drink refreshing!

What’s your favourite infused water combination?

What a fantastic idea!!! These would be great for a party. I really enjoy infusing my water with lemon slices, but this would certainly kick it up a few notches. The raspberry mint cucumber combo has my name written alllll over it :)
