Who doesn’t love a vibrant party platter?!😍
A couple weeks ago, I visited OLiV, which is a premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) and Balsamic Vinegar tasting room. All the products are vegan, gluten free and all natural.
When I walked in, there was a beautiful wall, full of EVOO and Balsamic Vinegar flavours. I had no idea where to start but Maureen, one of their team members showed me around and asked me what I foods I normally cook and what flavours I like. From there, I sampled a lot of their products and envisioned using them in so many recipes. From spicy to heavy garlic, sweet and more there was so many infused flavours to pick from. The Sundried Tomato Parmesan & Garlic infused EVOO really caught my attention so I went with this and the Lime infused White Balsamic Vinegar!
As I was talking with Maureen, she was telling me types of recipes people use with the various flavours. From salad dressings, to BBQ marinades, pasta dishes and even drizzled balsamic over ice cream! As you will see below, I drizzled the lime infused balsamic vinegar over homemade banana “ice cream”. I never would have thought to do this but it was super delicious and added a nice flavour to the dish.
Their Extra Virgin Olive Oils are grown at a farm in South Africa and the Balsamic Vinegars comes from Modena, Italy. The raw materials are then sent to their production facility in Niagara, Ontario, where they flavour and package all the products. The quality of their products is unlike most EVOO and balsamics you will find at a grocery store. Yes, they are a bit more expensive then grocery store brands but for me, knowing I am getting a true EVOO or balsamic that is all natural is totally worth it.
They have stores all across Canada – in Winnipeg they are located at 1857 Grant Ave. Anyone who mentions this post at the Grant location will get $5 off their purchase :) Their products would make a great Christmas or hostess gift! Be sure to check out their website here for more information.
It was really hard for me to pick a recipe to share with you today because I made some pretty awesome pasta dishes with the Sundried Tomato, Parmesan & Garlic EVOO, but I know how much people enjoy a party platter on my blog so I went with a creamy delicious hummus recipe.
