What I ate Wednesday (WIAW #15)

February 17, 2015 By Exploring Healthy Foods Leave a Comment

Hope you are having a great week! Today, I am sharing another What I ate Wednesday post. Head on over to Peas and Crayon blog to link up your WIAW post and share with other blogger what you have been eating!

Breakfast

For breakfast I had a big bowl of oatmeal (full recipe here) and topped it with slices of pear, apple and banana. I’ve also really been enjoying orange juice lately, so refreshing and sweet in the morning!

Snack

For a snack I had apple slices, apple sauce, flax crackers and hummus. Easy and quick.
Last week I posted a list of healthy snack foods that you can keep at your desk or in your purse! Check it out here.

Lunch

For lunch I had a pre-made mushroom & lentil soup. It doesn’t look the greatest but it tasted delicious! I will definitely try and recreate this recipe soon.

Dinner

On Valentine’s Day we made chicken {seasoned with Mrs.Dash Original Spice}, basmati rice and kale salad {with olive oil & vinegar dressing}. Super easy and nutritious meal!

Dessert

For dessert we pre-ordered an assortment of cupcakes, macaroons and more from Jenna Rae Cakes. They have the most beautiful little shop with so many amazing desserts! No these are not healthy dessert, but I mean could you pass up that cupcake!? haha..everything in moderation!
