Homemade Salted Hot Chocolate

Description

Stay warm this winter with this super easy and creamy hot chocolate recipe! Recipe is dairy-free.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut milk {or use almond milk}
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate {chocolate chips or chocolate bar chopped up into small pieces}
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • Optional ingredients:
  • Drops of peppermint extract
  • Swap the 2 tbsp of dark chocolate with dark chocolate with MINT! {so good.}

Instructions

  1. Begin by warming the coconut milk in a small sauce pan on medium.
  2. Once warmed about 5 minutes, add to cocoa powder and stir.
  3. Then add the remaining ingredients and continue to stir.
  4. Once chocolate is melted and everything is well stirred, pour into your favourite mug.
  5. Top with any toppings of your choice {or just enjoy by itself!}
  6. Enjoy!
