Tzatziki Sauce

Description

Tzatziki is a traditional Greek sauce that has a tangy flavour and is made with a yogurt base a simple ingredients. Whip up this recipe in 15 minutes and it’s ready to be dipped, spread or dressed over some of your favourite dishes!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (regular or coconut yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the ends off the cucumber, slice it in half and remove the seeds with a spoon or melon baller. Finely grate cucumber with skin on. Place grated cucumber in cheese cloth and squeeze out excess moisture.
  2. Add strained cucumber, yogurt, garlic, dill, olive oil and lemon juice to a small bowl and mix until well combined. Enjoy right away or store in sealed jar for 3 days.
