Hi everyone! Today, I am posting one of my favorite kinds of posts, “What I ate Wednesday”! I started my morning off with a big platter of fruit. Mangos, watermelon, berries, pineapple & grapes. Eating fruit in the morning is my favorite breakfast because it’s sweet, vibrant and I can eat as much of it as I want! I also drank about 500ml of water to start off the day.
I think I’ve been rubbing off on my family because my brother made himself an amazing fruit platter the other morning, yay! (of course I had to take a picture of it, you can see it on my Instagram @exploringhealthyfoods)
After a good workout, I toasted some whole grain pita bread in the toaster and ate that with hummus, carrots and snap peas! So good, seriously the best snack. Also great after a workout!
I have a 1 litre mason jar that I use at home to make sure I am drinking enough water. It’s so important to hydrate, not only when working out but all day long!
I had a spinach salad with orange slices, almonds and an orang-y dressing that I am still trying to perfect. I was inspired after going to lunch the other day with a friend and I had this amazing spinach salad with oranges. It tasted amazing but the dressing was definitely not the healthiest, so I am attempting to create a similar dressing!
For dinner, I had a super easy meal, kale salad with chicken. The chicken is seasoned with Mr. Dash salt-free seasoning. I love the original blend but they have a lot of different kinds of seasonings. If you’ve read my other WIAW post, you’ll realize this is a regular dinner for me! It’s just really easy to prepare and healthy! If you’re vegan or vegetarian, replace the chicken with tempeh or tofu and quinoa. I will do that time to time when I don’t want any meat.
Hope you’re all having a great day! Check out last weeks post, Pumpkin Spice Smoothie!
Be sure to link up here if you write a WIAW post!!

So random, but the plate in your dinner picture. My grandma has that same set, and it just makes me think exactly of my childhood. Haha.
I love the fruit plate, I wish I saw more mangos over here.
Happy Wednesday!

hahaha that’s hilarious! I know they are so old school but I love it!
Thank you!! :)

That mango is so bright and beautiful. I clearly need to get more fruit into my life besides bananas and apples.
Exploring Healthy Foods
