I have been eating so much watermelon lately and really wanted to make a spiked watermelon drink, so what better than a Skinny Watermelon Margarita!
This margarita is stripped of added sugar and syrups, which is why I like to call it a skinny margarita. I personally think this recipe is just as tasty as a standard watermelon margarita but has way better ingredients. Only the three listed below:
Watermelon✔
Lime✔
Tequila ✔
And that’s all! If you want it sweeter, I recommend adding a teaspoon of honey, maple syrup or agave. Honestly I don’t think you’ll need it though because the watermelon is pretty sweet.

Refreshing Skinny Watermelon Margarita that is stripped of added sugar and syrups yet has the same sweet and boozy taste as a standard margarita!
Ingredients
- 2 cups of watermelon chunks (seedless)
- 3 shots of tequila
- Juice from 1 lime
- Ice
- Optional : Sea salt for rim lining
Instructions
- Add watermelon chunks to a blender and blend on high until liquid consistency. Strain juice through a fine strainer to remove pulp. Discard pulp.
- Add watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and ice to a cocktail shaker and shake to combine.
- Line rim of glasses with lime juice then dip in salt (optional). Add ice to glass then pour in margarita.
