Start your day with a wellness shot- a popular item at juice bars that can be made right at home!
WHAT IS A HEALTH SHOT
A health shot (also known as a juice shot or wellness shot) is a popular menu item at juice bars. They are usually sold in 1-2 oz. small juice containers and can include a variety of vegetables, spices, fruits and more. Essentially these juice shots contain ingredients that are very nutrient dense and can provide many health benefits. For example, one of the health shot recipes below contains turmeric, which is an excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory spice. Other high nutrient ingredients include ginger, lemon, kale, cinnamon, which you will find in the health shot ideas below.
Healthy shots are not a meal replacer – simply something fun to take in the morning or when you want to give your body a boost of nutrients! Scroll to the end of this post for some delicious breakfast recipes.
HOW TO MAKE HEALTH SHOTS
